Stephanie L. Burke

Stephanie L. Burke is an associate professor and the program director of the Health Navigator Program at Prince George's Community College. As a dedicated public health professional, she has been influential in promoting improved health outcomes in communities through prevention and education outreach to support behavioral changes that impact communities. Ms. Burke is a highly motivated and passionate public health professional and offers expertise in population health management, cultural awareness training, health literacy, health communications, program development, implementation, and evaluation. In addition, she has years of experience in community engagement, health coaching, program implementation, program development, creating effective health campaigns and programs that impact focal communities.

Ms. Burke has a B.S. in community health and a master's in health administration from Hofstra University, along with a second master's degree in health communication from Boston University. Currently, she is a doctoral candidate in public health at Morgan State University. She is also a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES).

Tina Gambhir

Tina Gambhir is a professor of Health Information Management (HIM) at Prince George's Community College (PGCC). She earned her bachelor's degree in HIM from Loma Linda University in HIM and her master's degree in health law from Loyola University. Gambhir also received her doctorate in educational leadership from Liberty University. Her experience stems from consulting and teaching HIM for over 14 years.

She is passionate about the profession, starting her own consulting company and publishing two books. Furthermore, she also participates in leadership roles at various institutions and speaks at a variety of conventions on topics related to the HIM profession.

Joan Horstkamp

Joan Horstkamp is a professor of respiratory therapy at Prince George's Community College (PGCC). Horstkamp graduated from PGCC with a degree in respiratory therapy in 1989, embarking on a career at the University of Maryland Capital Region Health, previously known as the Prince George's Hospital Center. As a child, she was treated by respiratory therapists for asthma exacerbations and became inspired to work in the field to help others with breathing struggles. In 1995, she began teaching critical care clinicals for PGCC.

Horstkamp received her bachelor's in behavioral science from the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) in 2009. In 2012, she was offered to become the director of clinical education for PGCC's respiratory therapy program. In 2019, she earned a master's in higher education administration services.

J. David James

J. David James is an associate professor and the program coordinator of the Medical Assisting Program at Prince George's Community College. Over the past 33 years, he has taught in a variety of educational settings including universities, proprietary schools, and community colleges.

With a background in health care and computer education, he has a Bachelor of Arts in natural science and mathematics from Thomas Edison College, a Master of Education from DeSales University, and a diploma in the science and practice of nursing from St. Luke's University Hospital.

Theresa C. Obi is a professor of respiratory therapy at Prince George's Community College. She is also a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP).

Malek Tadesse is an associate professor of nursing at Prince George's Community College.

Charles O. Waggoner III

Charles O. Waggoner III is a paramedic and emergency medical technician professor at Prince George's Community College. He obtained his paramedic certificate from PGCC in 2003 and earned his Bachelor of Fire Science degree from University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) in 2005.

In 2018, Waggoner obtained his master's degree in science safety, security, and emergency management from Eastern Kentucky University along with graduate certificates in both fire/emergency services leadership and homeland security. He is a member of the International Association of Firefighters, the Golden Key Honor Society, and the honor society of Phi Kappa Phi.
