Maintain Your SHRM Credential with Recertification

Human Resource (HR) professionals may maintain their SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP credentials by engaging in professional development activities that relate to the behavioral competencies and HR knowledge identified in the SHRM Body of Competency and Knowledge™. SHRM created three avenues by which SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP credential holders can earn PDCs: Advance Your Education, Advance Your Organization, and Advance Your Profession. For more information on how to recertify, refer to the SHRM Recertification Handbook.

To recertify and maintain your credential, you must earn 60 PDCs every three years or retake the certification exam.

MGT 761 Strategic Planning for Business Leaders 

The course will discuss traditional processes toward planning a strategy:

  • Formulation – Identifying an action before plans are made.
  • Execution – Applying the generated plan into the process.
  • Evaluation – Management should follow up on the action plan.

Finally, in this course, we will highlight implementation strategies. Senior leaders should integrate these strategies for increased effectiveness in any organization.

MGT 762 Emotional Intelligence in Human Resource Management

This course will cover the difference between Emotional Intelligence & Intelligence Quotient and the four domains of Emotional Intelligence. In addition, participants will discover what emotional intelligence is and why it is so important for their careers. Furthermore, this course will show you how leaders can manage their emotions in the workplace, leading to compatible professional relationships. Finally, participants will examine models of emotional intelligence to recognize how basic human emotions can impact decision-making capabilities.
