Ayodele Adefila

Ayodele Adefila is an assistant professor of accounting at Prince George’s Community College (PGCC). He holds a B.A. and M.A. in professional accountancy. Adefila joined PGCC as a full-time professor in the fall of 2022. Prior to becoming a full-time professor, he started as an adjunct faculty in spring 2020 and teaches various accounting and business courses. His numerous accomplishments include becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), mentoring and tutoring students to become future CPAs, and being part of the first graduating class of his Master of Professional Accountancy program.

Adefila’s favorite quote is, “Until you are ready to look foolish, you will never have the possibility of being great.” 

F. Denise Gibson Bailey

Gibson Bailey is an associate professor in residence at Prince George’s Community College (PGCC). Bailey holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in industrial relations and marketing. She has taught at PGCC since 2020, teaching introductory and upper-level business and marketing courses. She also serves as an adjunct professor of business at the University of the District of Columbia and the University of Maryland Global Campus.  

Bailey’s career has included online course development supported by open access learning tools at the University of District of Columbia and PGCC. As a mentor and role model, Bailey proudly serves as a faculty advisor for business marketing students participating in PGCC’s Experiential Learning Internship Program. She is always available to engage with future leaders, listening to their goals and sharing how their experience at PGCC is a pathway to success. 

William E. Knight

William E. Knight is a professor of economics at Prince George’s Community College (PGCC). He graduated with a B.S. in business administration (with a concentration in economics) from Old Dominion University in 1973. He also earned an M.A. in international trade and finance in 1974. Later that year, he began teaching economics at Tidewater Community College in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In 1978, he moved to Maryland to attend the University of Maryland’s Graduate School. In 1982, he earned an M.A. in economics. From 1981 to 1984, he was an economist at the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (World Bank) in Washington, D.C.

In August 1984, he joined the full-time faculty at PGCC as an associate professor of economics. While on staff, he taught a variety of courses at the University of Maryland, College Park and University of Maryland Global Campus, including economics, personal finance, risk management, business finance, and a course entitled The Business-Government Relationship.

Professor Knight is a first-generation college graduate. He has also taken web page design and Java courses at PGCC.  

Judy K. Mulusa

Dr. Judy Mulusa is a professor and academic coordinator of economics at Prince George’s Community College (PGCC). Dr. Mulusa is an applied economist with 20 years of experience in academic instruction, economic and statistical analysis, public finance and budgeting, project design, and policy development. She has recently published work on gender equality and women’s empowerment.

Dr. Mulusa began her career as an economist in the Ministry of Finance in Kenya, along with holding faculty positions at Moi University and Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology. She received a B.A. from the University of Nairobi, an M.A. in economics from the University of Botswana, and a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University. 

Doloris Outlaw

Deloris Outlaw is an associate professor of accounting at Prince George’s Community College (PGCC). She holds a B.S. degree in accounting. Outlaw started as an adjunct at PGCC and later obtained a full-time position that has expanded to 18 years of service. Outlaw also has over 25 years of executive healthcare operational experience in managing the daily operations of 10 clinical departments.

She is a first-generation college graduate and a member of the National Association of Black Accountants and the Institute of Management Accountants. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling abroad. 

Kathy Yorkshire

Kathy Yorkshire is a professor of business and entrepreneurship at Prince George’s Community College (PGCC). She holds a master's in administrative management and an Ed.D. in higher education and community college leadership. Dr. Yorkshire has been with Prince George’s Community College since 2001 teaching introductory to upper-level courses.

Her numerous accomplishments include being selected as a member of PGCC's Leadership Institute's inaugural class, receiving the faculty excellence award; being selected for Dissertation of the Year by the National Council for Student Development; receiving the Outstanding Student Organization Advisor of the Year Award; and publishing her first book entitled Secrets of Becoming a Virtuous Woman.
